Hebrews 11 is a great chapter about faith. It’s a chapter that most have read. It’s often our go to chapter for great examples of faith, for encouragement to remain faithful, and for that faith pick me up that is often needed. We read about these great people of faith and are in awe (as we should be) of this little snippet the Hebrews writer shares with us. Sometimes it’s a few verses. Sometimes it’s one verse. Sometimes it is just a name or just an action!
Have you ever wondered what your one verse would be? If someone were to write another roll call of faith what would or could be said about you? Of course it would start out “By faith (insert your name)”.
It’s a sobering thought. What would the rest say? How are we using our faith? Are we even living a life that would even be worthy enough to make this “chapter”? Are we living by faith? Are we acting in faith? How will we be remembered, as just a good person or a godly person? It all depends on our faith.
Our faith in God matters. Our actions according to our faith in God matters. Let’s strive to live in such a way that we can finish our verse.
“By faith Kristina….”
